Does the business hold an active Australian ABN?

The ACMA checks this against the Australian Business Register first — a cancelled or incorrect ABN is rejected on the spot. Confirm yours is showing as Active on ABN Lookup before you start.

Since 1 July 2026, alphanumeric Sender IDs that aren't registered appear as Unverified to recipients in Australia, and can be blocked or replaced with a generic one.
